Create a holiday tab → Add everyone involved → Log flights, accommodation, meals & activities → Settle up at the end!

Step 1: Set Up Your Holiday Tab

Before you even pack your bags:

Tap "Create Tab" in the Quicksplit app.
Name your tab something descriptive, like "Spain Trip 🇪🇸" or "Ski Holiday ⛷️".
Choose the main currency for your trip (you can still add expenses in other currencies!).
Invite everyone joining the holiday to the tab using their name or a shareable link.
(Optional) Add your friends as placeholder members. This lets you start splitting costs even if they haven't downloaded the app yet. They can take over their placeholder when they join.

Set up the tab as soon as flights or accommodation are booked. This way, you can log big expenses right away and avoid forgetting details later.

From pre-trip bookings to daily holiday spending:

Flights & Accommodation: Often the biggest expenses. Add them as soon as they're paid, noting who paid.
Group Meals: One person can pay and add the bill to Quicksplit, splitting it equally or by who ate what.
Activities & Excursions: Tickets for theme parks, museum entries, or guided tours – keep track of them all.
Transport: Shared taxis, train tickets, or rental car costs can be easily split .
Miscellaneous: From sunscreen to souvenirs bought for the group, every shared cost can be added.

• Add the total cost.
• Select who paid (e.g., the person whose card was used).
• Split amongst all travelers, or only those who participated (e.g. if someone joined for part of the trip).

• One person pays the bill.
• Add the expense in Quicksplit.
• You can split the bill equally or enter custom amounts if people had different dishes.

Once the holiday is over, or even during if you prefer:

Check the tab summary to see who owes what.
Quicksplit suggests the simplest way to settle debts.
Send money to the people you owe and then mark those transfers as complete within the "Settle tab" screen.
